IO Interactive and Feral Interactive are bringing Hitman: Absolution, which launched on PC and consoles in 2012, to mobile devices and Nintendo platforms. According to the announcement, the game will be available for iOS and Android users in the fall of 2025. Following the mobile version, it will be released for Nintendo Switch at the end of the year and for Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.
Hitman: Absolution is coming to mobile devices
The mobile version features a total of 20 missions. iOS users can pre-order the game from the App Store for 429 TL ($14.99). For Android, only pre-registration is available. According to Feral Interactive, the game can be played not only with a touchscreen but also with a keyboard, mouse, and gamepad.
Hitman: Absolution distinguishes itself from other games in the series with its more cinematic narrative. In the original version, players witnessed a more personal story focusing on Agent 47’s past and the conflicts he faced during his missions. No additional information has been released regarding whether the mission structure or narrative will change in the new platform release.
The game will be available for Nintendo Switch in the last quarter of 2025. The Switch 2 version has been confirmed for 2026. Details regarding the game’s technical specifications or visual improvements have not yet been released. However, the mobile version’s expanded control options are seen as a significant step forward in terms of cross-platform experience.
This multi-platform expansion, led by IO Interactive and Feral Interactive, will further expand the Hitman series’ reach to a wider audience. Despite 13 years since its initial release, Hitman: Absolution continues to find its way onto new platforms.
